ST% can be calculated using initial analyte concentration in the sample and concentration after the storage under different conditions. ST% evaluation using peak areas is not correct.

Internal standard should be stable even if the analytes are unstable, this way the internal standard content in the sample remains constant with different sample processing steps.

If possible all the stabilities have to be evaluated before sample collection in order to indicate appropriate storage conditions.
