Module 5: Diversity, Inclusivity and the Gender Perspective: Women and Cultural Heritage, a how-to crash course

Abstract: As diversity is key in modern-day heritage approaches, collaborations and applications, this 15-hour 3-unit module offers a how-to-do crash course on how to address the gender perspective in setting up, implementing and evaluating innovative educational activities to promote diversity, inclusivity and the role of women via local cultural creation in the post-pandemic hybrid world (i.e. physical, digital and online), using appropriate, effective and user-friendly methods and tools. To this end, the module explores the theoretical concepts of diversity, inclusivity (with emphasis on the role of women) and cultural heritage in the physical and digital worlds (unit 1), offers hands-on training the modern co-creation processes (unit 2), and addresses the evaluation of relative activities (unit 3). Case studies and good practices derive from the OSYGY (Federation of Women Association “Kores of Cyclades”, Greece).
