Unit 3: Assessing existing projects, decision making and action taking towards the future

 

Abstract: This 5-hour unit allows reflection on real-life examples / case studies from the work of OSYGY in Cyclades, Greece. Learners study five specific examples, reflect upon the key points and offer opinions, feelings and ideas for the future collectively.

 

Learning Outcomes: By the end of unit 3, learners will be able to:

  • Compare and analyse real-life examples on the role of women in cultural heritage projects in CHOs.

  • Evaluate and appraise real-life practices from real-life examples on the role of women in cultural heritage projects in CHOs.

  • Collaborate towards offering ideas for future actions and steps.

Preparation:
 
  • Check the key points mentioned in the introduction.
  • Get ready to use the case studies offered in the introduction.
  • Activities in this unit relate to assessing and commenting on specific case studies by using knowledge and experiences from previous units. Be critical and engaging in dialogue, be ready to argue on your positions as well as flexible and open to alternative thinking!
 
1. Case Studies from the Cyclades, Greece. Study and reflect on the five case studies from the Cyclades, Greece. They all relate to actions and activities of OSYGY. Prepare notes on the extent to which you think these case studies reflect the key points as well as on what should be the next step for every case study.
 
2. Conversation Café. Learners will meet online and have a Conversation Café! This is a process of four rounds (described below) that takes 60-120 minutes to complete. During the Conversation Café, learners will get the chance to offer their initial opinions and feelings (round 1), then reflect and reposition themselves after listening all (round 2), then participate in an informed discussion (round 3), and finally state their takeaways (round 4).
