Logos of units

The logos of the university’s faculties and units consist of the university’s logo submark, the words “TARTU ÜLIKOOL” in a smaller font size to its right, and the name of the faculty or unit beneath the words.

In Estonian, the names of the faculties and units are not capitalised. According to the rules of the Estonian language, the capital letter is used only for proper names of a person or place in the name of the faculty or unit (e.g. “Johan Skytte poliitikauuringute instituut”, “Narva kolledž”).

If the name is long, it may be split between up to three lines, and words may be hyphenated. Compound words should be hyphenated at the compound boundary.

All the faculty and unit logos are based on the same baseline grid.
