Typography

The primary typeface used at the university is the Rubik family.

Rubik is used in titles, highlights and body text. The preferred use of fonts is shown in the example on the right. Rubik can be downloaded from Google Fonts.

If Google Fonts cannot be downloaded or the file is opened on a computer that does not have the Rubik family installed, use the Arial family as an alternative. For large volumes of text published in print (e.g. books, long articles), Minion Pro is recommended for legibility.

Use of other typefaces must be coordinated with the Marketing and Communication Office.

Instead of pure black, the darkest shade of grey should be used for text. Recommendations for selecting font sizes and combining them can be found on typescale.com.
