Inita Heinola (LAT)

Title of the lecture: Knitted gloves, mittens, socks and stockings in Latvia.

In the presentation, Inita Heinola shortly will introduce knitted garments from the collection of Clothing and Textiles of the National History Museum of Latvia. She will about the oldest items of collection from the 18th century until the first half of the 19th century, for their typical features – colors, patterns, composition. Inita will give a brief insight into how knitted garments changed in the second half of the 19th century and later on. 

Inita Heinola is a chief curator of Clothing and Textiles collection in National History Museum of Latvia.

Her last major work was to curate the exhibition “Kūlainis, pērstainis delnainis…” (“Gloves, Mittens…”) at the NHML (26.10. 2016.-05.03.2017.) http://lnvm.lv/?p=8068.
