Advantages

For Students:

• First, they gain practical competency in using AI.
• Second, through the sharing of experiences, the participants learn from others how they used AI in a similar situation, thereby learning different ways to approach a similar problem.
• Third, by using AI, the participants used their time more efficiently and productively. By delegating e.g. manual tasks to the AI, or by quickly asking AI for advice or options, the participants could focus on the more substantive issues.

For Teachers:

• The main benefit is the lowered threshold to use AI in a course. AI can be incorporated even if the teacher has only basic familiarity with AI and prompting.
• Second, through encouragement and trust, this course design enabled a course to become a learning opportunity for the teacher. Although I am relatively familiar with AI, the participants used AI in innovative ways that I would not have considered.

In sum, everyone in the workshop, through peer-learning, gained better insights to the advantages and limitations of AI
