Research groups

Excellence and previous funding

The CEMCE consortium pools together 7 research groups from the University of Tartu (UT) and Tallinn.

University of Technology (TTU). These groups were active in the two previous Estonian centres of excellence (CoE): CoE in Chemical Biology (CECB) and CoE in Environmental Adaptation (ENVIRON). The aims of those programmes have been fulfilled, and the CEMCE application further consolidates the synergetic potential of the involved research groups to meet new challenges in excellent fundamental research and to facilitate the transfer of our knowledge into practical applications to boost Estonian bioeconomy.
