When to make learning choices within the curriculum?

Initially, planning your studies at university can be confusing because of the freedom of choice. It can be difficult to understand all the options and requirements that need to be considered. You may also not know your own wants, needs and interests very well if you have not yet explored your curriculum in depth.

You do not have to finalise your study plan at the start of your studies. If you are in bachelor’s studies, you have to

  • by the end of the first semester, select the modules of the major specialisation: two base modules, one narrow field module, one specialisation module and one elective module;
  • by the end of the third semester, select all modules required for completion of the curriculum(either minor specialisation modules or modules increasing the volume of the major specialisation). You can do that earlier, but until the end of the third semester you are free to change your choices if you wish.
