6. Practical aspects of chromatography and mass spectrometry

In this section different approaches and instruments are introduced for the analysis of different cultural heritage materials. The approaches include liquid chromatography with mass spectrometric, UV-Vis/PDA, and fluorescence detection; gas chromatography with mass spectrometric and FID detection, direct mass spectrometry using high resolution FT-ICR-MS with MALDI, ESI and APCI ion sources.
