European Open Science Cloud

Obviously the search for open research data is currently a rather long and complex process. To reduce this effort in the future, the European Commission is developing an European Open Science Cloud.

The idea of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) is to provide researchers with a free and open virtual environment for storing, managing and re-using research data.

The science cloud would consolidate and connect existing e-Infrastructures for research data and create a platform for all researchers and disciplines by providing federated search for FAIR data.

University of Tartu, the Library and  Estonian Scientific Computing Infrastructure (ETAIS) are currently actively involved in the EOSC-Nordic project.
