Statement concerning V. Morozov
The Estonian Internal Security Service has notified the University of Tartu that they have started an investigation against Professor of International Political Theory Viacheslav Morozov, who is suspected of action against the Republic of Estonia. The employment conctract with Viacheslav Morozov has been terminated at his own request.
Viacheslav Morozov served as Programme Chair of the Tartu Conference until 2023 and his withdrawal was announced at the Tartu Conference in June 2023, not in connection to current events. He has been removed from the 2024 Programme Committee with immediate effect, pending the results of the investigation.

We are all very shocked by this news, but we still feel that it is important to proceed with the conference as planned. The deadline for submitting proposals is 20 January and you will receive the notification of the results by 20 February at the latest. You can still edit your submission in ConfTool until the submission deadline. Should you wish to withdraw your application, you can do so via email or in ConfTool before the start of the conference.
