Ülo Kiiler

Ülo Kiiler (17 November 1942 – 5 July 2010) was a humourist and collector.

He was born in Pärnu, attended school in Viljandi and studied law at Tartu State University. He worked as a lawyer. He is buried in Viljandi. His son is humourist, screenwriter and writer Gert Kiiler (b. 1974).

He has published humorous and short stories in the press; some of them have been collected into the book Vibukits (‘Bowgoat’, 2006). Kiiler was a prominent badge collector; his interest was centred on badges related to Viljandi County. He has published writings about badges and published a pioneering handbook in this field, Märgikogujale (‘For the Badge Collector’, 1979).
