Baltic-German University Liaison Office is an institution that contributes to scientific development and strong cultural relations between Germany and the Baltic states. The office is located in Riga, Latvia, and is currently looking for a translator intern to perform translation of official documents, invitations, speeches etc from English and/or German to Estonian, Latvian and/or Latvian.

BEREC contributes to the development and better functioning of the internal market for electronic communications networks and services and assists the European Commission and the national regulatory authorities (NRAs) in implementing the EU regulatory framework for electronic communications. Application for internships is possible online in case of open positions.

Traineeships at the General Secretariat of the Council (Council of the European Union).

The European Commission Blue Book Traineeship is a 5-month paid internship in EU Directorates, Institutions and agencies, which have signed a Service Level Agreement with DG EAC/the Commission.

European Committee of the Regions offers 5-month paid internships. There are two sessions – spring and autumn sessions. More detailed information, application deadlines and application form can be found here.

The European Defence Agency annually runs a 1-year Traineeship Programme aimed at recent university graduates who want to transition to the world of work in an organisation at the heart of defence cooperation in Europe.

European DIGITAL SME Alliance is constantly looking for hands-on, fast learning students wishing to complete a traineeship in a growing and dynamic European association (Erasmus+ internship).

Twice a year the European Economic and Social Committee offers traineeships for a period of five months to university graduates. In addition, the EESC can offer short, unpaid traineeships from one to three months to university graduates or university students who are required to complete their degree by undertaking a period of in-service training.

The European Parliament offers two types of traineeships: Traineeships in the Secretariat (Schuman traineeships) and Traineeships with Members of the European ParliamentThe Schuman traineeships are paid and can be undertaken at one of the European Parliament’s official places of work – Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg – or in its Liaison Offices in the Member States

NATO offers 6-month long internships for citizens of NATO Member States. Eligible candidates must be over 21 years of age and either have obtained their highest degree less than a year ago or be in at least their third year of studies.

New Eastern Europe is the exclusive bimonthly news magazine dedicated to Central and Eastern European affairs. The editorial offices are located in Kraków, Poland. Pacific Forum offers full- and part-time non-paid internships for students and recent graduates who are interested in gaining practical experience at an international think tank. Applicants can apply for either the Research Internship or Program Internship. Currently all internships are virtual (conducted in a remote capacity).

Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC) provides internship opportunities to local, regional and international youth in an effort to educate them about Bosnia’s conflict history and post-conflict present. Traineeships can be supported by Erasmus+ programme.

The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) was founded in Brussels in 1983 and is a leading think tank and forum for debate on EU affairs, ranking among the top think tanks in Europe. Internship applications are to be submitted only via the official form. The application system is open throughout the year and CEPS units will consult the internship database whenever an intern is needed.

The Center for International Policy (CIP) works to make a peaceful, just and sustainable world the central pursuit of U.S. foreign policy. Interns are offered stipends to help defray expenses incurred in connection with activities at CIP.  Due to COVID-19, CIP implemented an indefinite teleworking policy in March 2020. Until further notice, all CIP internships will be 100% remote.

The European Institute for Asian Studies (EIAS) is a leading Think Tank based in Brussels, the capital of the European Union, focusing on EU-Asia relations since its founding in 1989. EIAS invites candidates with a background and expertise in international relations, finance, migration, international business, economics & trade to apply for internship. The duration of the internship should be between 3 and 6 months. Please note that the internships are non-remunerated.

The Fund for American Studies (TFAS, established in 1967) is a non-profit organization and a leader in educating young people from around the world in the fundamental principles of American democracy and the free market system. TFAS has been the launching pad for more than 18,000 students who have participated in its programs in Washington, DC and around the world in Asia, Europe and South America. Alumni of the program are leaders in government, business, the media and nonprofit sector. the capital of the European Union, focusing on EU-Asia relations since its founding in 1989. TFAS hosts Washington, D.C. based Academic Internship Programs. Interested applicants are expected to provide a resume, a letter of motivation, and a thematic essay.

The UNFPA is offering an internship for External Relations.The inclusive UNFPA Internship Programme offers outstanding students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to UNFPA operations. It is designed to complement development-oriented studies with practical experience in various aspects of UNFPA work. Applicants should be interested in the field of development, have the ability to adapt to new environments, and work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Interns work as part of agile teams that support and hold each other accountable. In addition, they will have supervisory support from an assigned UNFPA staffer. The backgrounds of the interns match the needs of the organization.

The German parliament offers the opportunity to participate in a five months internship programme (March – July) “International Parliamentary Scholarship“. Applicants need to have graduated from university and have a good command of the German language.
