EURUS internship

While students of all programmes are welcome to conduct an internship experience within the framework of their studies, for students of the “European Union – Russia Studies” MA programme (EURUS) that is a formal requirement of the curriculum as a part of the programme’s Development Seminar.

The internship is one of the Development Seminar requirements, and therefore, must follow the aims and study goals set in the curriculum. The internship must be in line with the aims of the curriculum either by the field of activity or in general with activities that develop research and analytical skills. The Development Seminar’s internship is composed of three different subsections: one on a real work environment (at internship provider), one analytical, and one organizational (at the University of Tartu/Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies). The students will not receive any additional credit points, since it is part of the overall Development Seminar credits (15 ECTS).

In total, internship duration required by Development Seminar is 120 hours; half of which (60 hrs) must be completed outside of university, at the internship provider, and another half (60 hrs) at the University of Tartu.
