WP 2. Innovations and technology transfers
WP2 analyses how the knowledge transfer from Nordic to Baltic at the level of countries, sectors, companies contribute to social and economic innovation via developing new business models solving social problems and creating social and economic value. The emphasis will be on social innovations in education, social services, labour market. We clarify how Nordic/Baltic capital has impacted knowledge transfer from Nordic to Baltics and vice versa; what drives the technological advantage of the Nordics and the lagging of the Baltics; how knowledge transfer contributes to sustainable economic growth in the region; what insights can be offered for policy makers in forming social policy innovation and connecting social innovation policies to priorities.
WP2 includes the following tasks:
Task 2.1. The knowledge and technology transfer at the country level by capital flows and scientific collaboration in Nordic-Baltic grants and H2020.
Task 2.2. Social innovation and technology transfer via Nordic capital presence in key sectors and its impact on business models.
Task 2.3. The two-way technology transfer via the ownership linkages between Nordic and Baltic firms.
