The economic integration of the Nordic-Baltic region through labor, innovation, investments and trade – LIFT

1st project workshop 31 Jan 2022, University of Latvia

The 1st project workshop was titled as “New Labour Market Developments in the Context of Digitalisation and Social Change”, and was also a session part of the 80th International Conference of the University of Latvia. The main organizer of the workshop was prof. Mihails Hazans. The workshop started with a short presentation of the LIFT project and included in total 11 presentations. The presentations covered remote work and teleworking (especially during the COVID-19), effects of FDI on wages, labour tax evasion, Nordic FDI in the Baltics, circular economy, family business, access to public services. The workshop included in total 30 participants from 14 different institutions. The workshop was also attended by high-level invited academic experts and stakeholder representatives.
