Sarja kolmas kultuuriõhtu “Jõulud” keskendub Saksamaale ja Poolale. Võõrustajateks on TÜ töötajad ja üliõpilased  Saksamaalt ning Poolast koos TÜ personaliosakonna ja Tartu loodusmaja inimestega – tutvustatakse Saksamaa ja Poola jõulukombeid ja traditsioone. Kultuuriprogrammi osaks on ka traditsioonilised Saksa ja Poola söögid ning joogid. Soovijatel on võimalik osaleda sõnade hääldamise võistlusel, piparkookide meisterdamise õpitoas, õppida Poola tantse või osaleda äraarvamismängus: “Kas tegemist on Eestist, Poolast või Saksamaalt pärit eseme või tootega?”. Lastele tulevad külla Nikolaus ja Ruprecht.

The third event in the series is titled “Christmas” and it will introduce the variegated Christmas traditions in Germany and Poland. The event will take place in the Tartu Nature House, at Lille 10, Tartu on 3 December at 19:00 and is hosted by the UT staff and students from Germany and Poland together with UT Personnel Office and Tartu Nature House. You will get a chance to learn interesting things about German and Polish christmas customs and traditions. You will be offered some traditional German and Polish dishes and drinks. The event will also include word spelling contest, baking Polish gingerbread and German Stutenkerl, to try out Polish dances and take part of Quiz. Visit of Nikolaus and Ruprecht is also part of the evening.

• Quiz – is the picture, beer etc. from Estonia, from Germany or from Poland?
• Visit of Nikolaus and Ruprecht
• Christmas carols from Estonia, Germany, Poland
• Polish Dancing
• German and Polish food and drinks
• Workshops:
  Christmas tree decoration;
  Polish gingerbread baking and decoration;
  Baking German “Stutenkerl”: Sweet yeast bakings with raisins and clay pipe, in shape of a little man.

                            

                                                                                                     

Osalemine/Participation

Oodatud on huvilised igas vanuses! Õhtu on inglise keeles eestikeelsete selgitustega. Osalustasu on 5 eurot, alla 10 a lapsed on teretulnud tasuta. Registreerumiseks palun vajutage siia (registreerumine on lõppenud). Kuna kohtade arv on piiratud, palume tasuda osavõtumaks ning ennast kirja panna esimesel võimalusel. Registreerumise tähtaeg on 1. detsember. Küsimuste korral ja lisainfo saamiseks palun võtke ühendust Sirli Urbasega (sirli.urbas@ut.ee). 

Everybody is welcome, regardless of age! Seminar will be held in English, explanations in Estonian will also be provided. The event is free for kids under the age 10 and costs 5 euros for others. For registration please follow the link (registration is closed). As the number of seats is limited, we kindly request you to transfer participation fee and register as early as possible. The deadline for registration is 1 December.
