Teaching resources

There are several tools teachers can use to promote inclusivity in their classrooms and highlight the dangers of prejudice. For example, the task exploring student identities allows students to recognize the diversity within their classroom and benefit from it by learning from their peers. Another example discussed in this module is the counter-narrative strategy, which is a powerful way to explore alternative viewpoints, improve understanding of diverse groups and promote critical thinking. Different case studies, based on teachers’ testimonies, present various scenarios where controversies occured due to differing viewpoints, interpretations or forms of prejudice, with solutions and strategies discussed for each example.
