The 3-year project realizes coordination and support actions enriching the expertize of the University of Tartu, Estonia, in development of photocatalytic antibacterial surfaces. This will be done by twinning of the Tartu University: the Microbe & Material Interactions Research Group) and (the Laboratory of X-ray Spectroscopy) with 3 international scientific institutions via mastering the best practices and experience in fields of catalytic materials (the University of Oulu, Finland) , real-life testing of antimicrobial surfaces (the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology) and antimicrobial resistance (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing, Germany).
