EMBL Estonia

Management

A two-tier governing body is being established to manage the EMBL-Estonia research infrastructure.

  • The Council, or strategic governing body, consists of representatives from the lead institution and all partner institutions, along with representatives from the Estonian Research Council and the Ministry of Education and Research. The members of the Council do not participate in the operational management of the research infrastructure.
  • The Steering Committee, or operational management body, is responsible for the direct management of the infrastructure and for making decisions regarding the use of the financial resources allocated within the framework of the research infrastructure. The Steering Committee is likewise composed of members from the lead institution and the partner institutions.

The present research project utilizes the research infrastructure “European Molecular Biology Laboratory,” funded by the Estonian Research Council (project TARISTU24-TK25).
