Apply for a postdoctoral fellowship

On 28 November 2025, the application call for the EIPOD-LinC programme will open for postdoctoral candidates.
All required application materials must be submitted by 2 February 2026.

EIPOD-LinC (Exploring Life in Context) is a postdoctoral fellowship programme of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) that supports talented and motivated researchers from around the world who are interested in interdisciplinary research.

The programme is open to researchers who have already obtained their PhD or will do so before 2 February 2026.
Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply.

EIPOD-LinC offers the opportunity to carry out an independently designed research project within EMBL’s scientific programme “Molecules to Ecosystems.”

Each project must be conducted in collaboration with:

• an EMBL Host Supervisor, and
• a partner institution, which may be an academic organisation, industrial company, or clinic located in an EMBL Member State, Associate Member State, or Prospect Member State.

The programme aims to foster the development of interdisciplinary skills, provide high-quality mentoring, training, and career development support, and help researchers become future leaders in academia and beyond.
