EJTA Teachers' Training 2026

EJTA Teachers’ Training 2026

20-22 May 2026, Tartu, Estonia

What makes journalism not only a profession but a sustainable and fulfilling calling? EJTA Teachers’ Training: Beyond the Deadline – Teaching the Happiness of Journalism explores the happiness of journalism – the values, practices, and environments that support journalists’ well-being, purpose, and professional identity. In an era of burnout, precarity, and public distrust, how can journalism education foster resilience, ethical grounding, and joy in storytelling?

We invite educators, researchers, and practitioners to join a vibrant dialogue on teaching journalism as both craft and calling. Together, we’ll examine how to equip students with the skills to thrive, not just survive, in today’s complex media landscape – through curriculum design, mentorship, mental health strategies, and innovative pedagogies. Let’s rethink journalism education to build not only better journalists, but happier ones.

Registration for the event has now closed. We sincerely appreciate your interest and look forward to hosting all registered participants.
