It’s a great honour to announce the ICALT2020 keynote speakers. This year we have three interesting keynotes by four distinguished speakers. We hope that you can disseminate the word about our valuable presenters and it attracts people in your network to register to ICALT2020 as a non-author participant (http://icalt2020.ut.ee/registration).

ICALT2020 final deadline for uploading Camera-Ready Manuscripts and IEEE Copyright Forms as well as for Author Registrations has been passed on May 25. If there are some issues with either manuscripts, copyright forms or payments of any of the authors of an accepted manuscript then you have been already contacted. If you have not been contacted then everything is good. To date we have more than 100 papers that will be presented and discussed at ICALT conference.
Our virtual conference will be a very interesting scientific event. However, virtual format sets some challenges to support networking of participants to build new valuable contacts and to meet old friends. ICALT2020 Local Organizing Committee takes this issue seriously and; therefore, we can already now inform you that all ICALT2020 participants can also benefit from several social acitivities during the conference days:
We hope that this little touch makes ICALT2020 a memorable conference.
Although author registration is ended we invite all non-authors (or co-authors of the manuscripts) to register to ICALT2020. The participation fee for non-authors is only 50€. Read more at:

This year, we received a lot of applications for ICALT2020 Student Travel Awards. Due to the limited resources TCLT has, we cannot award every single application. After review and assessment of all applications, we are pleased to announce the winners who have been awarded a reimbursement of a SINGLE author registration ONLY (i.e., 2nd paper’s registration fee cannot be reimbursed). Read more at https://icalt2020.ut.ee/student-awards.
We are looking forward to meeting you all at the conference online this year due to COVID-19.
We hope that the virtual conference will attract many participants. The deadline for Author Registration is already next Monday, May 25, 2020. However, the registration for non-authors continues until the end of the conference. The participation fee for non-authors is only 50€. Read more at:
https://icalt2020.ut.ee/registration
It has been decided to reduce the ICALT2020 registration fees. New fees as well as registration form can be found at the registration page: https://icalt2020.ut.ee/registration
Deadline for Author Registration is May 25, 2020. Non-author registrations can be paid even during the conference days. The registered participants will get a password to access the virtual conference and conference proceedings.
We hope that the virtual conference will attract many non-authors. The participation fee for them is only 50€. We hope that you can advertise this information in your channels and ICALT community will expand.
Restrictions and change of our focus regarding coronavirus call us to flexibility in organizing ICALT2020 conference. We have changed the format of the conference to VIRTUAL CONFERENCE and hope that it allows most of the ICALT community to participate in the conference and present their research online. Conference proceedings will be published as planned. As a result of these changes we have also looked for flexibility in deadlines. The updated extended deadline for Final Camera-Ready Manuscript and IEEE Copyright Form submission but also for Early Bird Registration for all authors and for Non-Author Early Bird Registration is May 25, 2020. We also would like to kindly remind all authors that the articles will be included in the conference proceedings only if your have registered on time.
The IEEE CPS link for uploading your Camera-Ready manuscript has been mentioned in the notification email sent you earlier. However, we also remind it here. You can complete the camera ready paper submission and sign the copyright form on IEEE CPS at https://ieeecps.org/#!/auth/login?ak=1&pid=4iCjwFBhzDv7BDGx7xnFnB.
We will work on the update of participation fees and communicate it to you as soon as we have the approval of IEEE to the updated budget that takes into account all revised expenses to organize ICALT2020.
The recent developments regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) might have raised worries about the ICALT2020 conference and travelling. Our organising team have had several meetings to discuss the situation and possible scenarios. We are continuously monitoring the situation and come back to new evaluation and decision if needed.
Currently we follow the suggestions of the Estonian Health Board and according to these all large-scale events like ICALT2020 conference are cancelled until May 1. We don’t know yet what is the situation then. However, after that there is still a bit more than two months to the start of ICALT2020 conference in the beginning of July. Therefore, we continue with preparations for the conference as planned and hope that our potential participants are not much affected by the virus in the next months and we can have our conference as planned.
However, if the face-to-face meeting is indeed affected by the coronavirus then University of Tartu is fully capable to offer possibilities to enable online participation. All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings and we hope that all presentations could be presented in one or other format.
The nominations for best paper awards have been announced. Find them here.
Authors have been notified about the review results on March 8 (a few exceptions in case of late reviews).
Registration to the conference has been started. The call for papers (full paper, short paper, discussion paper) was open from November 2019 to January 22, 2020.
