Outcome: Participants gain a shared understanding of how inequalities influence cancer outcomes and identify the main barriers to implementing CCC standards.

11:00-12:30 Session 2: Workshops on cancer research, regional inequalities and innovation 90 min
The aim of these workshops is to jointly find solutions to barriers centres are facing with to help accelerate the implementation. You will have a set of questions; the moderator is leading the discussion and there is a notetaker that will write down what has been discussed. You will be assigned to appropriate group beforehand by
ESTCAN team.
Outcome: Participants exchange experiences and jointly identify practical solutions that can be adapted to different national and institutional contexts.
Each workshop produces:
Practical recommendations.
Examples of successful practices from participating centres.
Questions requiring further work within EUnetCCC.

The aim of the Joint Action European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres (EUnetCCC) is to connect comprehensive cancer centres across Europe to provide 90% of patients with access to the best cancer care, wherever they live. The network is a platform for centres across Europe to share and develop best practices, resources and knowledge. This collaboration is essential to advance research, integrate the latest findings into clinical practice and ensure that patients receive the most effective treatment.
EUnetCCC contributes to:
- reducing inequalities in diagnosis, treatment and patient care, Increasing access to clinical trials.
- improving the quality of research
- linking clinical and research efforts, assessing the quality of cancer care.
