The 8th European Ostracodologists’ Meeting

Post-conference excursion: Palaeozoic Ostracoda (July 28-30, 2015)

The excursion will visit ostracod-rich localities in the Ordovician and Silurian shallow shelf carbonate succession of central and western Estonia, including the Island of Saaremaa. The stops will include (but may not be limited to):

  • Kalana Quarry (Llandovery),
  • Porkuni Quarry (earliest Hirnantian),
  • Pakri Peninsula (Middle Ordovician),
  • Ristna Cape (Upper Ordovician),
  • Abula Cliff (Wenlock), 
  • Suuriku and/or Undva Cliffs (Wenlock),
  • Ohesaare cliff (Přidoli).

Some sightseeing stops will be included.

The excursion starts in Tartu and ends in Tallinn, for more comfortable departure of the participants.

The cost will be EUR 360 that includes guidebook, all meals and two night accommodation in double rooms.
