Limiting and expanding searches
Limiting searches
Prior searching, you can limit the search according to several characteristics, which are the same on the Basic and Advanced Search form.
Full-text – specifying that only full texts are needed.
Peer Reviewed – specifying that only peer reviewed scholarly articles are needed.
You can also limit the search according to date published, journal name, author and title.
Expanding searches
If you got too few results, use the options to expand the search.
Also search within the full text of the articles – search terms are searched in the full text of the articles, while usually the search terms are searched in the fields of the bibliographic record (author, title, abstract, keywords, subjects).
Apply related words – synonyms and other words related to the search term and different forms and different spellings of the words are searched.
Before starting the search you should check what options are selected by default and make your own choice. |
