The international craft symposium will bring together nearly 60 participants from 6 universities in 4 countries.

The symposium is the most important and voluminous part of the network's activities since the establishment of the network in 2019. The network includes UT Viljandi Academy of Culture and Pallas University of Applied Sciences (Estonia), University of Helsinki (Finland), University of Uppsala and Gothenburg (Sweden), and University of Southeast Norway (Norway).

The symposium will feature workshops, seminars and lectures on sustainable use of materials and sustainability. Students and teachers from Nordic countries as well as students from Tartu and Viljandi will participate in the event.
Students of Viljandi Culture Academy have the opportunity to get involved in organizing the event and supervising the workshops.

The event is supported by base funding for national research at the University of Tartu, Cultural Endowment of Estonia and the Nordic Council of Ministers through Nordplus Higher Education Programme (project NPHE-2021-10100).
