Participation Conditions & Fees

Who can participate for free

The Baltic Basement Spring School 2026 is funded by the Estonian Doctoral School.

In accordance with the funding framework, participation is free of charge for the following groups:

  • Doctoral and master’s students enrolled at Estonian universities
  • Academic staff of Estonian universities (registered in the Estonian academic information system, ÕIS)
  • Officially invited lecturers and workshop leaders listed in the program, including international invited speakers

For these participants, the funding covers access to the full academic program, workshop materials, on-site catering and organised accommodation.

Other participants

A limited number of additional participants may be accepted subject to available capacity. This may include experts, researchers, or representatives of institutions not covered by the Estonian Doctoral School funding framework.

Such participants will be required to pay a participation fee of 150 EUR. The fee will cover accommodation, catering and organisational costs for the full duration of the event (transportation costs are not included).

As the event is primarily funded to support doctoral training within Estonian universities, priority in admission will be given to participants eligible under the Doctoral School funding scheme.
