Carri Ginter visited Tallinn Downtown Elementary school’s 9th-grade pupils
On the 6th of December, Carri Ginter visited Tallinn Downtown Elementary school’s 9th-grade pupils to share his knowledge of European Law. The topic of the Social Studies lesson, which Dr Ginter gave, was “Estonia – a member of the European Union”.
The pupils showed a great understanding of modern society and had many substantive questions.
Some of the questions that pupils asked were:
1. How can a country leave the European Union? How long does it take?
2. Is it possible to exclude individual countries from the European Union that constantly obstruct the common goal?
3. What would happen if an armed conflict broke out between two EU countries?
4. What is the most significant benefit of Estonia being a member of the EU?
5. Are EU countries doing something together or discussing how to get over high inflation faster?
Dr Ginter thanks Anu Lepasepp-Mugu for the warm welcome.
