Work Packages

Work Packages (WPs) sare key components in tracking the progress of the SysAge project. Each WP is designed with specific objectives that contribute to achieving our overarching goals in improving UTARTU to make progress in the study of healthy ageing. Below, you’ll find an overview of these objectives.

To ensure transparency and accountability, we will provide annual updates on the WPs, highlighting the objectives that have been met and any significant milestones achieved. These updates will allow you to stay informed about our progress and understand the ongoing impact of our work.

Work Package 1 – Project Management (UTARTU)

Objectives

• Set up effective project management structures and communication channels.

• Monitor the activities of the participants, ensure progress towards the milestones, deliverables, and objectives of the project, in line with the EC rules and requirements.

• Ensure data management in line with FAIR principles.

Work Package 2 Improving UTARTU knowledge and skills in systems immunology and healthy ageing research (IP)

Objectives

• Increase UTARTU understanding of molecular mechanisms in aging process.

• Transfer knowledge to UTARTU in immunomonitoring technologies.

• Develop UTARTU skills in big data and machine learning techniques.

• Introduce interdisciplinarity to UTARTU research on healthy aging.

• Organize a high-profile international training school in immunology.

Work Package 3 – Pilot Research Project (UTARTU)

Objectives

• Adopt and verify experimental protocols and obtain ethics permissions.

• Dissect genetic, environmental, and immunological factors that influence vaccine responses in older individuals.

• Understand the role of cytokine autoantibodies in inflammaging and immunosenescence.

• Conduct feasibility study to set up longitudinal study.

Work Package 4 – Improving research management, infrastructure and exploitation at UTARTU (UCPH)

Objectives

• Enhance UTARTU research infrastructure.

• Improve research support and administration at UTARTU.

• Promote entrepreneurship and collaboration with business.

• Integrate research into educational activities for medical students.

• Promote inclusive and diversity-friendly working environment.

• Provide UTARTU with experience in leading funding applications.

Work Package 5 – Networking, dissemination and communication (UTARTU)

Objectives

• To set up infrastructure for effective project dissemination and communication.

• To raise research profile of UTARTU.

• To raise attractiveness of UTARTU as a mobility destination for talents.

• To stimulate interest in project topics among the general public and policy-makers.

• To organize a high-profile final event to disseminate project results to target audiences
