Training day with Sony Biotechnology

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting Christopher McRandle from Sony Biotechnology Inc. for an in-depth seminar on the Sony ID7000 spectral cell analyzer. We’re excited to share the experience and key takeaways from this valuable training session!

Training Highlights

Christopher led our team through two days packed with seminars to help us unlock the full potential of spectral flow cytometry.

  • Day 1: We focused on panel design, experiment optimization, controls, the autofluorescence extraction tool, and unmixing corrections. These topics equipped us with best practices for building and running high-quality experiments.
  • Day 2: Christopher reviewed our current panel designs and worked with us to enhance our data analysis and improve the panels. This tailored guidance is going to ensure that we’re obtaining the most accurate results possible.

Applying New Skills to Ongoing Research

Our team has experience working with spectral flow cytometry, but this training has given us the skills to take our work to the next level. With Christopher’s insights on panel optimization and data analysis, we’re now better equipped to maximize the capabilities of the Sony ID7000. We’re excited to bring these techniques into our current and future experiments, allowing us to gather even more precise data to advance our research on healthy ageing.
