Estonian Agency for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps’ podcast

Our project manager Heidi Maiberg was invited to speak at Estonian Agency for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps’ podcast. Together with Maari Ernits, who is the CEO of Estonian Big Brother Big Sister programme (MTÜ Vanem Õde, Vanem Vend), and the host Sabina Sägi, they discussed about the importance of involvement of young people to education system and society in general, as well as problems that they are finding solutions to with their daily work. Heidi introduced the aims of Sensiclass project as well as the backstory of the project. “There are as many sensitive topics as there are people” said the project manager. While there are materials for educators on tackling sensitive topics in a classroom, most of them are created by Western Europeans for Western Europeans. Eastern European needs are different which is the primary reason behind this project – to create suitable support tools for Estonian, Czech, Hungarian, and Polish educators.

The discussion was held in Estonian.
