Facilitating reflection during study abroad

1)  to use reflection as a key to support independent learning and critical thinking in order to increase your confidence, self-awareness and motivation during study abroad;

2)  to use critical reflection tools during the exchange period.

One of the goals of an internship or studying abroad is to acquire information and get the opportunity to interact more deeply within your field of study. For this reason, it is essential that you reflect and analyze your reactions in addition to the classroom learning experience. Interests and values may shift and change during/after being abroad and the new learning experience and the awareness of these reactions may help to shape and define your future decisions about academic and professional life.
