Systematic review of ecosystem services

Systematic reviews are a type of literature review that use systematic methods to collect secondary data, critically appraise research studies, and synthesize studies. Here we run a systematic review to categorize all ecosystem services for shallow water communities provided by submerged vegetation, seagrass beds and mussel reefs, assess the validity of valorisation of those services, and address their interaction and possible conflicts of policy targets. We also evaluate the future risks for those services under BAU and BSAP scenarios. During the analyses we identify current knowledge gaps and suggest potential approaches for future research.
