Anna Aret Speaks on Exoplanets and EXOHOST in Estonian Public Broadcasting Morning Programme “Кофе+”

On 13 September 2024, Prof. Anna Aret appeared in a segment of the ERR+ morning programme “Кофе+”.

During the segment, Anna Aret outlined recent developments in exoplanet research and introduced the EXOHOST project, a major initiative focused on improving our understanding of stars that host exoplanets. She described the project’s scientific goals, current progress, and the crucial role of accurately characterizing host stars when interpreting exoplanet observations. Aret also spoke about Estonia’s participation in the ESA ARIEL mission.

In addition, she briefly marked the 60th anniversary of the Tartu Observatory, in Tõravere, highlighting how decades of Estonian astronomical research have laid the foundation for today’s participation in major international space missions.

Her appearance offered viewers an accessible overview of ongoing exoplanet research in Estonia and showcased the role of local scientists in advancing European space science.
