Module 1: Understanding Infrastructure Development

By completing the first module of the course, you should be familiar with the lifecycle of infrastructure projects and be able to associate infrastructure with the concept of sustainable development.

Nowadays, infrastructure is a natural part of our lives – we all benefit from different infrastructure daily. Furthermore, governments need infrastructure in order to provide vital public goods and services. Infrastructure development, however, requires spending quite a lot of public money, brings about social benefits and/or problems and has environmental consequences.
