ReConnect China Dialog: Bridging Gaps, Charting Futures with Europe
24-26 October 2024
Tartu, Estonia
In today’s geopolitical landscape, the relationship between the European Union and China remains fluid and complex. Recent challenges have highlighted the competitive and systemic rivalries shaping the EU’s approach to China. These factors have led the EU to transition from a strategy of decoupling to a more nuanced, de-risking approach.
There is a special panel for early-career researchers in the conference that provides a platform to share their insights on how the EU should re-engage with China, as well as to explore the barriers, challenges, and prospects shaping the EU’s policy approach toward China in the areas of science and technology, economy and trade, domestic governance, and foreign policy.
The early-career researchers panel is part of the larger conference, “ReConnect China Dialog: Bridging Gaps, Charting Futures with Europe.” Panel participants will also have access to the full conference program without any conference fees. The panel organizers suggest that the selected panel presenters apply for Erasmus funding to cover travel costs. However, in exceptional cases, the panel organisers may cover travel and accommodation costs.
