It is recommended to pass the course <a href=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/env-intro\/avaleht\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Introduction to Environmental Auditing in the Public Sector<\/a> before registering for this course. Therefore, instead of explaining the basics of performance auditing, the course will focus on how to plan an audit on water-related issues.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of this MOOC is to introduce the complexity of water related topics: from the water cycle and water-related problems to regulating water management, as well as the options for auditing the environmental and sustainability impacts of water using performance audit methods.\u00a0Surface and coastal water as well as groundwater are mainly in the focus of the course, with specific marine environment and biodiversity related issues excluded.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"250\" height=\"78\" src=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/295\/rk_logo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-231\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"490\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/295\/intosai.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-234\" style=\"width:300px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/295\/intosai.png 490w, https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/295\/intosai-300x153.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 490px) 100vw, 490px\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The course consists of reading material, video lectures, exercises, tests, and audit cases based on the practice of several Supreme Audit Institutions from the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) region.
