Kuidas lisandus s\u00f5na l\u00f5ppu <em>je<\/em>-silp, pole selge. Enne <em>je<\/em>-l\u00f5pulise <em>rassolje <\/em>levikut oli l\u00fchiajaliselt kasutusel ka prantsusp\u00e4rase <em>lle<\/em>-l\u00f5puga <strong><em>rossolle<\/em><\/strong>. Nii on seda toitu nimetatud nt 1911. aastal Adeline Tannbaumi kokaraamatus \u201eKeedu kursus\u201c. Salati iseloomustuseks on samas veel \u00f6eldud, et \u201esee on \u00fcks peenikene pidus\u00f6\u00f6k\u201c, mis ehk p\u00f5hjendab prantsusep\u00e4rasena n\u00e4iva s\u00f5nakuju valikut (vrd ka s\u00f5napaariga <em>vanill <\/em>\u2013 <em>vanilje<\/em>, prantsuse <em>vanille<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u00f5nakuju <em>rassolje <\/em>fikseeriti 1930. aastal ilmunud \u00f5igekeelsuss\u00f5naraamatu 2. k\u00f6ites (eelmisest, 1918. a \u00f5igekirjutuse-s\u00f5naraamatust see s\u00f5na puudub).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2666<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baltisaksa keeles olid <em>Risoll<\/em>\u2019i k\u00f5rval kasutusel variandid <em>Rassoll<\/em>, <em>Rossoll<\/em>, <em>Ressoll<\/em>, <em>Rissoll <\/em>(lisaks needsamad erinevate h\u00e4\u00e4likupikkustega). S\u00f5na on peetud vene laenuks (vrd vene <em>\u0440\u0430\u0441\u0441\u043e\u043b<\/em> \u2019soolvesi\u2019 ja <em>\u0440\u0430\u0441\u0441\u043e\u043b\u044c\u043d\u0438\u043a <\/em>\u2019rassolnik\u2019), aga v\u00f5ib ka olla, et esmalt j\u00f5udis see s\u00f5na Liivimaale hoopis poola keelest (Kiparsky 1936: 139).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selle s\u00f5na esmamaining baltisaksa allikates j\u00e4\u00e4b 17. sajandisse ning kasutatud on just poola h\u00e4\u00e4ldusega klappivat varianti <em>rossul <\/em>(vrd poola <em>ros\u00f3\u0142 <\/em>\u2019(soola)leem\u2019, h\u00e4\u00e4ldus (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalphoneticassociation.org\/content\/full-ipa-chart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IPA<\/a>): \/\u02c8r\u0254.suw\/) \u2013 Rosinus Lentilius kirjutas oma Kuramaa m\u00e4rkmetes (1677\u20131680), et heeringast valmistatakse siin roog nimega <em>rossul<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kuramaa <em>rossul <\/em>oli aga ikkagi salat, mitte leem ega soolvesi nagu slaavlastel. Lentilius kirjeldas, et heeringas puhastatakse, l\u00f5igatakse v\u00e4ikesteks t\u00fckkideks, segatakse juurde redist, magusaid \u00f5unu, oliivi\u00f5li, soola, \u00e4\u00e4dikat, pipart. Seej\u00e4rel lastakse segul seista, kuni see hakkab peaaegu et m\u00e4danema. Kuramaalased s\u00f6\u00f6vad seda ning peavad h\u00f5rgutiseks. (Lentilius 1677\u20131680 [1924: 56])<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>August Wilhelm Hupel kirjutas sada aastat hiljem (1795: 195), et <em>rossol<\/em> valmistatakse lihast, heeringast, sibulatest, redistest, \u00f5untest jms \u00e4\u00e4dikaga segatult ning et see p\u00e4rineb Venemaalt. Oma eesti keele s\u00f5nastikku Hupel <em>rossol<\/em>\u2019it lisanud pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosolje retsepti edasise arengu kohta vt <a href=\"https:\/\/nami-nami.ee\/uudis\/rosolje_ja_kartulisalat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jukk 2017<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2666<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Ros\u00f3\u0142 <\/em>on poola keeleteadlase, professor Jan Miodeki j\u00e4rgi tuletatud s\u00f5nast <em>s\u00f3l <\/em>\u2019sool\u2019. Tuletis t\u00e4hendas \u2019soolasust v\u00e4hendama\u2019. Vanasti kasutati soolamist ja kuivatamist liha s\u00e4ilitamiseks ning enne s\u00f6\u00f6mist oli vaja sellist liha veidi keeta, et liigsoolasest maitsest lahti saada. (Kasprzyk-Chevriaux 2017)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ka vene <em>\u0440\u0430\u0441\u0441\u043e\u043b <\/em>on moodustatud eesliite abil s\u00f5nast <em>\u0441\u043e\u043b\u044c <\/em>\u2019sool\u2019 ning isegi kui <em>rossul <\/em>v\u00f5eti kunagi baltisaksa keelde \u00fcle poola keelest, on selle hilisemat kasutust m\u00f5jutanud vene keel. Suur h\u00e4\u00e4likuline varieeruvus j\u00e4\u00e4b selgituseta. Nimelt \u00f6eldi juba siis <em>rosolje<\/em> ka suvalise segu t\u00e4histamiseks.
