Estonia<\/span><\/span> has<\/span><\/span> been<\/span><\/span> a<\/span><\/span> Member<\/span><\/span> State<\/span><\/span> of<\/span><\/span> the<\/span><\/span> European<\/span><\/span> Union<\/span><\/span> since<\/span><\/span> 2004.<\/span><\/span> EU<\/span><\/span> law<\/span><\/span> has<\/span><\/span> been<\/span><\/span> taught<\/span><\/span> systematically<\/span><\/span> mainly<\/span><\/span> s<\/span><\/span>ince 2003.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>For<\/span><\/span> this<\/span><\/span> reason<\/span><\/span> very<\/span><\/span> many<\/span><\/span> practitioners<\/span><\/span> and<\/span><\/span> scholars<\/span><\/span> have<\/span><\/span> had<\/span><\/span> limited<\/span><\/span> training<\/span><\/span> on<\/span><\/span> EU<\/span><\/span> law.<\/span><\/span> To<\/span><\/span> be<\/span><\/span> able<\/span><\/span> to<\/span><\/span> continue<\/span><\/span> providing<\/span><\/span> comprehensive<\/span><\/span> legal<\/span><\/span> education<\/span><\/span> at<\/span><\/span> University<\/span><\/span> of<\/span><\/span> Tartu<\/span><\/span> with<\/span><\/span> an<\/span><\/span> impact<\/span><\/span> on<\/span><\/span> all<\/span><\/span> other<\/span><\/span> fields<\/span><\/span> of<\/span><\/span> education,<\/span><\/span> we<\/span><\/span> need<\/span><\/span> to<\/span><\/span> introduce<\/span><\/span> the<\/span><\/span> EU<\/span><\/span> law<\/span><\/span> to<\/span><\/span> a<\/span><\/span> wider<\/span><\/span> public<\/span><\/span> through<\/span><\/span> professional<\/span><\/span> research<\/span><\/span> publications<\/span><\/span> (professional<\/span><\/span> audience),<\/span><\/span> popular<\/span><\/span> science<\/span><\/span> publications<\/span><\/span> (general<\/span><\/span> public)<\/span><\/span> and<\/span><\/span> pre-law-school<\/span><\/span> activities<\/span><\/span> for<\/span><\/span> long-term<\/span><\/span> sustainability<\/span><\/span> (high<\/span><\/span> school<\/span><\/span> students).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Taking into considaration the corner stone of the project UproEU \u2013 engaging <\/span>young talent to promote comprehensive understanding of EU law<\/span><\/span> \u2013\u00a0 we <\/span><\/span>are engaging current law students and recent graduates in o<\/span>rganizing and teaching courses, coaching mooting teams,\u00a0researching\u00a0and<\/span> writing\u00a0publications\u00a0on\u00a0EU\u00a0law. <\/span><\/span>We believe that this approach of engaging our young professionals guarantees a much wider impact on the students, the legal market and the community. Young EU law professionals develop organically with the project. With this we engage young talent to promote comprehensive understanding of EU law \u2013 youth with a professional EU law attitude \u2013 UproEU.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u00a0general\u00a0objective\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0UproEU\u00a0project\u00a0is\u00a0to\u00a0advance\u00a0the\u00a0comprehensive\u00a0studies\u00a0of\u00a0EU\u00a0law.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
