Eestis on nisu kasvatatud \u00fcle 4000 aasta. Nisul on palju erinevaid liike.\u00a0Eestis kasvatataval nisul on tavaliselt <strong>ohted <\/strong>\u2013 n\u00f5eljad moodustused viljapeal \u2013 l\u00fchikesed. <strong>Nisu k\u00f5rs<\/strong> on 60-80 cm pikkune. Nisu kvaliteedi \u00fcks t\u00e4htsamaid n\u00e4itajaid on <strong>teraliimi <\/strong>ehk gluteeni\u00a0sisaldus. Mida suurem on teraliimi hulk nisujahus, seda paremini p\u00fcsivad nisujahust k\u00fcpsetised\u00a0koos.\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: FSAlbert Pro Regular, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\">T\u00e4nap\u00e4eval kasvatatakse 90% ulatuses\u00a0harilikku ehk pehmet nisu, v\u00e4hem\u00a0kasvatatakse <strong>durumnisu<\/strong> ehk k\u00f5va nisu, mille kleepvalgusisaldus on v\u00e4iksem. Lisaks peetaks oluliseks <strong>s<\/strong><\/span><\/span><strong>peltat ehk\u00a0\u00fcrgnisu. <\/strong>Erineb teistest nisusortidest selle poolest, et tuum on tugevalt v\u00e4liskesta k\u00fcljes kinni. Speltanisu peetakse maitseomadustelt ja toitev\u00e4\u00e4rtuselt tavanisust paremaks, sest on valgu-, rasva- ja mineraalaineterikkam.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Nisu sisaldab peamiselt s\u00fcsivesikuid (70-85%), v\u00e4hem valke (10-20%), lisaks v\u00e4ikeses koguses toidurasvasid. Mineraalainetest sisaldab nisutera enim seleeni\u00a0kaaliumit ja fosforit ning vitamiinidest B3-vitamiini ehk niatsiini.\u00a0Nisust (v\u00e4lja arvatud\u00a0t\u00e4isteranisust) valmistatud tooted on vitamiinide ja mineraalainete poolest \u00fcsna vaesed. Teraviljatooteid tarbides tuleks eelistada t\u00e4isteratooteid.\u00a0<strong>T\u00e4isteratooted\u00a0sisaldavad rohkesti\u00a0kiudaineid,\u00a0mineraalaineid\u00a0ja erinevaid vitamiine.\u00a0T\u00e4isteratooted hoiavad k\u00f5hu kauem t\u00e4is ja aitavad v\u00e4ltida n\u00e4ljatunnet.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">V\u00f5imalikud tooted nisust:\u00a0<strong>terad, jahu, t\u00e4isterajahu <\/strong>(see t\u00e4hendab, et enne tera jahvatamist eraldatakse ainult selle k\u00f5ige v\u00e4lisem kiht)<strong>, kliid, helbed, tangud, manna, kuskuss, bulgur<\/strong>\u00a0ja neist toodetud tooted ning valmistatud toidud, lisaks ka <strong>nisuidu\u00f5li<\/strong>.\u00a0Speltat m\u00fc\u00fcakse t\u00e4isteriste, kruupide, tangude, kliide, helveste, manna ja mitut sorti jahuna.\u00a0<strong>Bulgur<\/strong> on t\u00e4isteranisu, mida on kuuma auruga t\u00f6\u00f6deldud, seej\u00e4rel kuivatatud ja purustatud. <strong>Kuskuss on<\/strong> peenem nisutang, mida valmistatakse k\u00f5va- ehk durumnisu koorimata teradest.\u00a0Kuskuss\u00a0on p\u00e4rit P\u00f5hja-Aafrikast, kus seda tavaliselt serveeritakse hautistega v\u00f5i lisatakse k\u00fclmana salatitesse. Nisujahust k\u00fcpsetatakse saiu ja kooke,\u00a0valmistatakse\u00a0<strong>pastat.<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: FSAlbert Pro Regular, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\">Durumnisu sobib eriti h\u00e4sti\u00a0pastatoodete valmistamiseks, sest pasta\u00a0ei pea omavahel kokku kleepuma. Durumnisust valmistatakse veel\u00a0kuskussi. <\/span><\/span>Nisu kasutatakse\u00a0veel\u00a0loomadele s\u00f6\u00f6dana ja mitmesuguste\u00a0jookide valmistamisel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">J\u00e4rgnevates\u00a0videotes\u00a0n\u00e4ed, milline n\u00e4eb v\u00e4lja nisup\u00f5ld ja kuidas nisu viljapeast terised\u00a0eraldatakse.
