Tenth Annual Tartu Conference (2026)
The Tenth Annual Tartu Conference was held under the theme “Global Flows and Frictions in Eastern Europe and Eurasia” on 10-12 June 2026 and brought together more than 200 participants from across the world. The conference was organized by the University of Tartu’s Centre for Eurasian and Russian Studies and supported by the UT Faculty of Social Sciences.
Keynote speech on the topic of “Empires We Choose: Migration and Sovereignty in a Double Periphery” was delivered by Dace Dzenovska, an Associate Professor in Anthropology of Migration at the University of Oxford, and moderated by Edgars Eihmanis, a Research Fellow at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies, University of Tartu.
