Puhkeseisundis on t\u00e4iskasvanud inimese hingamissagedus keskmiselt 12-16 korda minutis, kehalisel koormusel v\u00f5ib see ulatuda kuni 60 korrani minutis. Selle tulemusena suureneb oluliselt kopsude ventilatsioon. Rahulolekus on kopsude ventilatsioon keskmiselt 5-6 liitrit minutis, koormusel see n\u00e4itaja oluliselt t\u00f5useb (hingamissagedus minutis x hingamismaht, L\/min).
