It is possible to undertake several different types of internships in diverse work environments. No matter where the internship takes place, the student is taking the same Skytte internship course in Moodle<\/a> (expect for a tutor internship).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n 1. <\/span><\/span>Internship in a state or local government institution, at a company, or in an organisation (including Ministries, LLCs, NGOs, self-employment, universities, etc.)<\/strong><\/p>\n 2. Project-based Internship<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n It is possible to complete the internship whereby the\u00a0<\/span>institution or organization wishes to receive a solution to some kind of a problem and the solution will be found during the internship (project-based internship).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
\n An internship is a work-related learning experience under the guidance of a tutor that follows the guidelines set by the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies. The aim of an internship is to have an actual work experience in the field of study in order to test one\u2019s theoretical knowledge through practical work, to apply this theoretical knowledge in a real-life situation, to see how work is organised in different establishments, and to observe the work processes, as well as to develop the students\u2019 ability and habits for doing independent work. An internship must follow the aims and study goals set in the curriculum. The internship must be in line with the aims of the curriculum either by the field of activity or in general with activities that develop research and analytical skills.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n \n
