23. May. Project seminar XXII. Discussion on the Polish international law and conceptualization of \u201cself-determination\u201d during the Cold War period. Presented by Dr. Jakub Szumski from Imre Kertesz Kolleg (Friedrich Schiller University of Jena).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2-4. May. Eva Piirim\u00e4e and the research group organised an international conference in Tartu devoted to commemorating the 300th anniversary of Immanuel Kant. See the introduction and full program here: https:\/\/sisu.ut.ee\/kant\/conference<\/a>. At the conference, Eva presented her paper \u2018Immanuel Kant on Self-Determination of Peoples\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva Piirim\u00e4e held a public lecture, \u2018History of Mankind in Immanuel Kant\u2019s Philosophy of History and Law,\u2019 within the Lecture Series dedicated to the 300. anniversary of Immanuel Kant at the University of Tartu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eva presented her new book \u201cHerder and Enlightenment Politics\u201d (Cambridge University Press) at a book symposium at the Max Kade Center for European and German Studies, at Vanderbilt University (US).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juhan Saharov gave a lecture \u201cRevolutionary Concepts: From Self-Management to Sovereignty in the Late USSR\u201d at the Centre of Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) at Stanford University (US).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
