\r\n\t\t\"SDCE_clowd\"Within\u00a0this topic learners are introduced on how to find problems that need\u00a0solving, on both at global and local community scale The learning outcomes of\u00a0this topic is that students will be given a wide variety of ideas for identifying\u00a0different problems in local communities and issues at a global scale. <\/span>\r\n\t<\/h4>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\u00a0\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tThe UN\u2019s Division for Sustainable Development Goals (DSDG) is a global call to action for all countries- developed or developing \u2013\u00a0 to help resolve recognized problems that the people of Earth face.<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tThe DSDG have highlighted that ending poverty and other deprivations must also ensure that there is an improvement in health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth \u2013 all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tThe DSDG have highlighted <\/span>17 goals<\/a> (SDGs) that we should all try and work towards.<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\"SDG\"We have chosen three SDG goals that would benefit from a fresh student perspective as part of Digital Civic Engagement:<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tGoal 10- Reduced Inequalities.<\/b><\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tGoal 12- Responsible consumption and production.<\/b><\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tGoal 16-\u00a0 Peace, Justice and strong institutions. <\/b><\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\u00a0\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tGoal 10- Reduced Inequalities<\/b><\/span>\r\n<\/h3>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tThis goal examines inequality and aims to reduce inequality within and among countries.<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tSince the pandemic has come into effect, research has suggested that inequality has increased, and is likely to reverse progress made against income equality. This hasn\u2019t been seen since the financial crisis. <\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\u00a0\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tGoal 12- Responsible consumption and production<\/b><\/span>\r\n<\/h3>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tThis goal advocates for sustainable and responsible consumption and production patterns. Did you know that the global \u201cmaterial\u201d footprint has increase by 70% from 2000 to 2017?<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\u00a0Even with resources such as food, it is estimated that as of 2016, almost 14 per cent of food produced globally was lost before reaching the retail sector.<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\t\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tGoal 16-\u00a0 Peace, Justice and strong institutions<\/b><\/span>\r\n<\/h3>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tThis goal aims to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n

\r\n\tThe COVID-19 pandemic has exposed inequalities and discrimination and has tested, weakened, and in some cases shattered rights and protection systems in countries and territories.<\/span>\r\n<\/p>\r\n\r\n
