SCOPUS database

Author Search

Author Search lets you search for specific authors.

c

Search results first display the preferred version of the name, followed by other versions, the number of documents and the link View Last Title

You can refine your results with the following categories:

  • Source Title
  • Affiliation
  • City
  • Country
  • Subject Area

The results give context-based information about the author, making it possible to determine whether this is the author you were looking for. The following data can be checked:

  • organisational affiliation (as shown in the latest publication)
  • number of documents included to SCOPUS
  • number of documents where the author has been cited
  • h-index
  • number of co-authors
  • subject fields where the author has published.

Citation overview generates an overview of citations and gives the number of citations by years, starting from 1995. The overview can be sorted by years or by citation count in an increasing or decreasing order. On the upper part of the page you can see the results as a graph. There the last 4 years will be displayed as a default, but that can be changed. On the graph you can look at a time period of maximum 15 years. In order to evaluate the number of citations of an author, you can exclude self-citations (Exclude from Citation Overview).

If you view all the author’s documents in search results format, you can select Analyze search results from above the results. This shows the number of articles and data about them in different publications. On the author’s profile you can also select Analyze author output to see different data.

H-index makes it possible to evaluate the author’s output starting from 1995 up to the present time. H-graph is a visual example of the author’s h-index, intersecting with the h-line and showing the number of citations for each article.

By default, h-index is available starting from 1995, but this date can be changed.
