Kokku oli ligi 80 osalejat. Kahe huvitava p\u00e4eva jooksul peeti 39 ettekannet. Nende seas oli ka kaks k\u00fclalisesinejat, kes t\u00f6\u00f6tavad m\u00f5lemad Vilniuse \u00fclikooli eluteaduste keskuse EMBL partnerinstituudis (LSC-EMBL Partnership for Genome Editing Technologies, Vilnius University \u2013 Life Sciences Center) ja tegelevad genoomi editeerimise tehnoloogiate arendamisega. Nende hulka kuuluvad nii CRISPR s\u00fcsteem kui ka teised antiviraalsed kaitsemehhanismid. Esimesel p\u00e4eval k\u00f5neles prof Patrick Pausch teemal \u201cMechanism of a DNA producing and tRNA cutting bacterial immune system\u201d ning teisel p\u00e4eval prof Stephen Jones teemal \u201cHow precise is precise? Pursuing specific editing outcomes with CRISPR nucleases\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ettekandjaid oli ka meie \u00f5ppetoolist: kahep\u00e4evase seminari avas teadur Margus Leppik, kes andis laiap\u00f5hjalise \u00fclevaate ribosomaalse RNA modifikatsioonidest. Meie doktorant Analiis Veeremaa oli sama sessiooni teine ettekandja ja ta r\u00e4\u00e4kis oma doktorit\u00f6\u00f6 senistest tulemustest \u2013 kuidas eukar\u00fcoodi-spetsiifilised ribosoomi sub\u00fchikute vahelised sillad m\u00f5jutavad IRES-vahendatud translatsiooni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Talveseminaril valisid doktorandid-magistrandid ,,juhendajate\u201d ettekannete seast v\u00e4lja oma lemmiku, kelleks osutus Agne Velthut-Meikas TalTechist, kes tegi s\u00e4rava ettekande transkriptoomika teel munasarjade uurimisest. Lisaks anti auhinnad k\u00f5ige aktiivsematele k\u00fcsijatele. Nendeks olid k\u00fclalisesineja Patrick Pausch ning TalTechi doktorant Irina \u010cesnokova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ettekannete vahelisel ajal kostitas Musta T\u00e4ku Tall k\u00f5iki maitsvate s\u00f6\u00f6kidega ning \u00f5htul said teadlased ja teadlasehakatised koos meeleolukalt aega veeta. Olid harivad ja toredad kaks p\u00e4eva J\u00e4nedal.
