\n<\/p>\n\n\tThe RENE project international meeting was just coming up as the Covid-19\u00a0pandemic hit. It was late February and the team was in the middle of conducting the research to analyse the conditions (see more here). \u00a0To conclude this phase of the project,\u00a0a\u00a0meeting with the partners in Slovenia during late March\u00a0was planned.\u00a0We were looking forward working face-to-face after the first kick-off meeting but it was not possible due to the COVID-19 breakdown in Europe.\u00a0As\u00a0the pandemic was just getting started, the\u00a0Consortium decided to postpone the meeting.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n\tInstead of having delays\u00a0in the project, the team\u00a0quickly reorganized the\u00a0work to online meetings.\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0intensive week in Slovenia was substituted by\u00a0intensive days in online meetings.\u00a0With all participants safely isolated in their homes, the\u00a0group\u00a0could continue\u00a0working.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n\tAt that\u00a0time\u00a0(April 2020), we were hopeful that we would not have to cancel the Slovenia meeting but postpone it for late August. Not knowing how the situation would\u00a0unfold, all hopes were up. \u00a0As the summer passed, the situation did not\u00a0improve\u00a0enough. After\u00a0consideration, the team decided it would be best to stay safe\u00a0and work from\u00a0home. In the first week of September, intensive days online took place for the second time.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n\tWe are happy to conclude the project is right on schedule despite the unfortunate situation preventing the partners from meeting face-to-face.\u00a0The upcoming fall\u00a0is full of work, and we surely need to have face to face meeting in few months.\u00a0Even though\u00a0the\u00a0majority of\u00a0work can be done virtually,\u00a0our topic requires practical\u00a0sessions. We need to familiarize the team with cultural differences in patient transfers.\u00a0The RENE team is working as hard as\u00a0always\u00a0and we hope to share updates on progress soon!\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
